I had the privilege of creating this skirt for Heather Bailey's article in the April/May 2008 issue of Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion magazine. This skirt has the best of everything! It's fun and twirly while being luxurious and lady-like at the same time. This pattern is for sizes 2-6 (but can easily be accommodated for taller children). The finished length is 12 inches for a 2 year old up to 16 inches for a 6 year old. It requires slightly over 1 yard of fabric for the largest size (depending on the version you choose) and just over 1 yard of lining fabric as well. The smaller sizes require less. You may also wish to have 4 colors of embroidery floss if you choose to embroider the ruffle (pattern and instructions included). This ebook includes 25 pages of instructions with 45 color pictures and detailed drawings.
