The quarter pineapple blocks for this wall quilt are easy to make by sewing strips around a center square. No paper or templates needed. Just square them up after each round, then cut the pieced block into quarters. The border blocks are pieced using my on top method of foundation paper piecing and an Ultimate Seam Guide. Yardage and cutting instructions are included for a lap size quilt.
Annis Clapp has had a passion for sewing since she was a child, and has been designing and making quilts and related items since the mid '70s. While making her son's wedding quilt in 1998-99 she became interested in quick piecing techniques. The discovery of rag quilting in 2001 led to 3 quilt books published by Leisure Arts. She has had quilts featured in McCall's Quick Quilts and Ricky Tims' Kool Kaleidoscope Quilts. Her desire for speed and accuracy in her piecing skills led to the development of the Ultimate Seam Guide in 2003 which is now available through C & T Publishing.
