The possibilities are endless for you to create your own personalized journal covers for yourself, or for gifts. Just start with a fun focus fabric and you can make a useful and attractive keepsake that will be treasured for years. These are fun to make, and a joy to use and share. This pattern includes complete instructions for making a simple cover using a panel, or a pieced top of your own choosing. I also include tips for covering different sizes of notebooks (this pattern covers a standard composition notebook). The cover is fully lined and easy to slip on and off. Fully illustrated with photos of the journal on the front of the pattern in progress. Have fun creating your own covers, I allow you to use this pattern to make as many as you like to use, give as gifts, or sell.
I have been quilting for 25 years, and thoughout all these years one of my favorite things has been to design my own projects. I have been challenged during the last few years to try my hand at actually writing these ideas up and sharing them with others - so here I am! It's always a challenge to learn new skills, and pattern writing is a tricky one as people all learn in different ways! I try to include plenty of illustrations in my patterns as well as clear written instructions. I prefer rotary cutting, but do include templates as necessary. EQ7 is a wonderful help for drafting blocks and making templates, I couldn't do what I do without this!
