This pattern is for a cloth doll and bear. When Twinkles is sitting on Jingles they are 13” tall. I chose to make them using soft colors but they'd look great in dark forest and earth tones. What about a Christmas elf in reds and greens?
Twinkles is made from cotton fabrics except for the wool felt I used for the coat and cape. The clothing is sewn to her. Her nose has some needle sculpting, Her features are painted, & she has a full head of fur yarn hair. Her arms and hands are wired but you can skip that step. I have also included a simpler to sew mitt type hand pattern you can make with the same fabric as the body or felt so it looks like she's wearing mittens.
There are simple directions for the embroidery on the felt but you need to know the basics if you want to do the embroidery. Instead of embroidery you can sew pieces of lace, buttons, appliques, couched cording, and beads.
Jingles is made from Kunin Plush felt, has a jointed head and wears a collar, headpiece and saddlebags made from wool felt. The bear can also be made from fur but it will look different from Jingles in the photo.
I've been designing patterns since the 1980's and have had many printed in various craft magazines. Not all of my patterns have been turned into PDF so I hope you'll have a look at my web site to see the rest of them.
A note about my PDF patterns. They are different from the printed ones I sell. Some pictures and drawings were removed to make the pdf sizes smaller. They are also writen differently. I used word for the pdfs and publisher for my regular printed patterns.
