The Sunday bag, a fourteen may sewing pattern, is a chic, yet roomy and sturdy bag. Perfect for carrying around all of your stuff whether it's to church, work or a school meeting. This bag will help you tote your stuff in style! It's tall enough to accommodate a binder and wide enough to fit a few books. The pattern calls for this bag to be made from 54" wide home decor weight fabric, this gives it strength and stability. You CAN make it with 44" weight quilt fabric, I give instructions in the pattern for the conversion, but I think it works best with home decor weight fabric. Bag has a magnetic snap closure and measures approx. 13.5" tall x 19" wide x 4.5" deep. It features 2 inside pockets. One small one for things like your cell phone and one very large and deep one for everything else! It would make a great diaper bag for someone. Included is a pattern and tutorial in PDF format with: 9 pages of instructions Materials list Color photographs to guide you step by step The pattern includes instructions for both the fabric stripe and ribbon ruffle down the center of the bag front. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have. You can visit my blog at www.polkadotchair.com Pattern is in Adobe Acrobat format.
I've been sewing since I was 12 and have just ventured out into designing my own sewing patterns the last couple of years. I've been featured on Moda Bake Shop and in the Fresh Fabric Treats book! I share my crafty ideas on my blog, www.polkadotchair.com. I love to design purses and hope that you will love my patterns!
