As a child I saw my great-grandmother hand sew pieces of fabric together to make utilitarian quilts and I knew immediately that I wanted to learn how to do that. It wasn’t until many years later that I took my first quilting class and realized that this was going to be a big part of my life for many years.
My inspiration to create patterns comes from a few places. One is the quilt shop where I have worked and taught for more than a decade. I also really enjoy creating projects that are both unique and functional.
“Mom-isms” was my first creation and the feedback was so positive that I was inspired to create and write more patterns. The rest just fell into place as I thought about my own life and how I can create fun and functional projects for my home and yours.
