What happens when you combine fairies with flowers? You get the Floral Fairies series of 9 different fairies. The series is available in both a hand embroidery PDF pattern as well as an applique PDF pattern (which is available in seperate listings). I loved these fairies so much I couldn't stop at just one type of pattern.
If you can sew, you can do this hand embroidery pattern. You are simply stitching by following the lines. The stitches I used include: running stitch, back stitch, split stitch, and French knots (or you can embellish with beads like I did).
Some things you can do with your fairy include:
1) decorate a pillowcase
2) turn each one into a mini quilt (this is what I'm doing)
3) make all the fairies in the series and make a large quilt with them
4) decorate the front of a tote bag or purse
5) decorate the back of a little girl's (or a big girl's) jacket
6) frame it
7) hoop art
What would you do with your finished Floral Fairy?
This is Floral Fairy Embroidery PDF Pattern #1 of 9
The finished fairy measures approximately 6.5" wide by 10" tall.
Make sure to print the pattern page at actual size.
