Make this scrappy quilt using 2 1/2" strips and cake layer (10") squares for the dresses and bonnet ribbons. For a throw sized quilt you will need 25 strips and 6 cake layers. The twin requires 35 strips and 10 cake layers.
I have been a quilter since the early 90's and a quilt pattern designer since 2005. My designs have been published in books by House of White Birches and quilt magazines. I also freelance design patterns for Clothworks. My daughter, Laura Day and I coauthored and self published a book, Strangled by Wild Geese in 2010 which contains Laura's quilt mystery story and my ten quilt projects featuring flying geese segments. Currently my new book, Man Cave Quilts, published by Leisure Arts will be available in May. My quilt patterns feature easily pieced blocks and fusible appliqué accents.
