Have you ever wanted to make this traditional design, but not wanted to deal with sewing the curves and inset pieces? Then this pattern is for you! Get the look of a traditional Double Wedding Ring without all the hassles. This paperpieced version is all straight seams. It's made in 12" blocks (see previews) that are set together, block to block, with a 9" border. Leave the fabric off of the straight edge to have a traditional scalloped border.
Please print this pattern with legal size paper, 8 1/2" x 14", to get all the full size templates. The quilt is 54" square, but more rows of blocks will make a bigger quilt. It's very easy to adjust, since the blocks are 12 inches square and the border is 9 inches wide. BONUS: Paperpiecing templates for 4" and 6" miniature wedding ring blocks! There's also a layout diagram for a 20" x 44" tablerunner.
Please view the preview image of four paperpieced blocks set together, which make a complete ring. The second prieview image is of the paperpieced block itself, in a different colorway.
