DIANA is a quilted shoulder bag pattern of medium size.I use high quality cotton and free-motion quilt depending on the fabric design.  The flap closes with a magnetic snap.  Embellishment of the flap is up to you.  I like finding interesting buttons that bring out the color or design of the fabric.  Note the two fabrics used on the strap - another design feature that makes Diana interesting. The strap is the perfect length for on your shoulder, but lengthen for cross-body or shorten for a hand purse. Pockets inside help keep your stuff organized. The bottom is supported with a rigid insert that help maintain the shape and strength of the purse.  The batting I recommend is Soft and Stable TM which will need to be ordered at By Annie's (www.byannie.com).  For any purse, it gives a better result than any batting or fusible fleece.  This is an original design by Jeanne's Bags that you won't see everywhere!  Make it for yourself, in several color ways to complement your wardrobe, or for a special friend.  It is not difficult!  Dimensions are:  11" wide at bottom, 7" wide at top, 6" tall, 3" deep.  Handle drop is 13".  Pockets (4) 3.5" wide by 3" tall.

Jeanne's Bags

Welcome to Jeanne's Bags! My name is Jeanne and my background is in art. I also grew up sewing with a professional dressmaker - my mother - and an awesome chef - my father - who I'm always calling for cooking advice. We are an artsy family. I am in love with fabric. There are so many interesting fabric designs today. I am a quilter who also designs and makes purses. My purses are unique, no two are made from the same fabric. They are also quilted depending on how the fabric speaks to me, not the typical cross-hatch common today. You will not see your purse walking down the street!  My purses are available in local shops, online at my Etsy and Amazon shops and also at local craft shows.  I love to do custom work for individuals, based on my designs.  My website allows you to see some of my fabrics (not all of them since I have over 1,500!), examples of purses I have already made and sold, and the current designs I offer.  I am working on making patterns for some of my styles so that you can enjoy making my purses as much as I do.  Like me on my Facebook page - Jeanne's Bags.
